ballet

 LS2 did our first ballet lesson of ballet with Chloe from RNZB (Royal New Zealand ballet). Chloe taught us a dance sequence from the show black swan white swan based on a famous ballet swan lake. We learned different moves from black swan white swan we did a routine with Chloe. The music that we were dancing was classical instrumental music (Tchaikovsky) black swan white swan is currently preforming In Auckland. We did different moves that the black swan whiter swan would do in this photo it shows teams of seven we had to walk from the other side and put our arms up and down like a swan would. Our teacher Chloe was a really fun and nice ballet teacher I enjoyed this session with her I hope I can do it again one day.

Rhythm Interactive's Visit to PBS

today Rhythm Interactive's came to our school we learnt some songs/drumming with something called a Djembe which is an African drum. We learnt a saying..Together we can make a change while drumming to the beat. LS2 which is my class room we help the Juniors drum properly to the music that johnny made. If you can say it you can play it I enjoyed this drumming because it was fun and it teaches me and the juniors how to play different beats to the words. It was cool when he would say I love chocolate cake or  one of my favorites were when he said a number and we had to drum that many times but it was a little hard for the juniors because he would say 1,2,3 and 4 so the juniors would think that they should drum he Djembe four times. At the end of the learning he would ask us some questions about the session if we got them right we would get five drums but then he gave us the offer of seven. here is the site to the website. This learning was really fun for me and the rest of the classes.

Aesop fables

This week we recreated one of Aesop Fables I choose the Ant and the Grasshopper. Aesop was a man from the Mid 6th century. He was famous for all his 725 fables. this story is about an ant that works to provide for his and family and the grasshopper just wants to play and since the grasshopper did not work he was not prepared for the cold winter and he had no food or warmth. I made this fable on a Comic strip it was really fun to make this.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can our topic is resilience it means coping with challenges and bouncing back basically never giving up. Our theme is self-control which means controlling your actions and not getting distracted by notifications off really not getting distracted by anything. We dod a circle and did the Mexican wave action it was really easy all you needed to do is raise your hands up. The second action we needed to do was a little bit more hard and confusing we had to put our hands crisscrossing each other and why it was mostly confusing is the fact that we did not know what hand to ho first over or under? But then finally we got the hang of it I had a fun time at kiwi can today.
