  1. Kia ora Taheesha,

It is lovely meeting you! I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?

This is my first year joining the Summer Learning Journey, and I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs.

I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?

You did a fantastic job identifying popular rivalries. Do you think rivalries are positive or negative? Why or why not? :)

  3. Hey Taheesha!,
You have three really interesting common rivalries you have chosen. I have enjoyed observing your DLO and reading your explanation about what you did for this activity. Apple and Samsung are definitely big and common rivalries.

    Nice Work!

  4. Hello Taheesha,
I am Vitaraag and I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. I had never thought of the second rivalry you stated. I thought that was really cool. I also like how you took the time to actually put these rivalry into a google slide. I my favorite rivalry out of the ones you chose would be the first one. Which one is better in your opinion, Samsung or Apple? Maybe next time you could add what each of these rivalry was. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!

  5. Hi Taheesha! These are some great examples of rivalries, and well done on finding some cool pictures that represent them. Do you know what "rivalry" actually means? It could between brands and companies like you shown, or countries and even people! Can you relate to having a rivalry with someone else? A really simple, and neat presentation, well done!

  6. Hi Taheesha,
I liked how you chose Nike and Adidas because they're both very big clothing brands. I also liked how you picked Apple and Samsung, because they're both very big brands as well. Which brand do you prefer, Apple or Samsung?
