Day 1 | Activity 3:Scaling New Heights

What is the SPCA:  which is a society/charity for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Thay saves all types of animals and helps them find a new home. The SPCA Help more than 40,000 animals who were abandoned /given up, sick or hurt.

This week for day 1, activity 3 for week 1 of SLJ, on our blog we chose any charity and wrote about what it does to help the environment and what they do. There were 4 different choices but I decided t do the SPCA because it is a charity that helps animals and saves then from bad times.

  1. Hello again Taheesha! I chose SPCA as well, and it seems like many other people did too. I've never heard about them before, but when I read their website I was really surprised. They are doing really good things to help save animals and give them a better life. If you were able to, would you take in one of their animals? Great work!

  2. Good afternoon Taheesha,

I am Samuel, a Year 7 student attending Sacred Heart College. I am part of a trial period in which they are trying out students to be bloggers, which means it is my first experience with this sort of position. However, I did complete the Summer Learning Journey as a student in previous years.

This is a very good blog that really summed up the astonishing work that the SPCA does for those unfortunate animals. I really enjoyed your writing tough I thought maybe a bit more information could be added to make it a brilliant summary. However, I thought it was very good and I probably would have chosen the SPCA myself. I look forward to seeing the rest of your blog. Keep up the good work, Taheesha.

    Kind Regards,
    Samuel

  3. Hi Taheesha,
I liked how you said that the SPCA saved over 40,000 animals that were injured, sick or abandoned. I found it interesting that SPCA could help that many animals. Would you adopt an animal from the SPCA?

  4. Hi Taheesha!
Would you like to work at SPCA one day? Or would you like to adopt a pet from there? I like the explanation you added because it was nicely detailed.
    Blog you later!
